Vinification: The ripe grapes, harvested between the end of September and the beginning of October, are vinified by the red wine method, with 8 days of maceration; the fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature (28-30°C) with selected indigenous yeasts; the new wine rests in stainless steel before bottling.

Appearance: Bright cherry-red colour.

Nose: Fragrant perfume of grapes and cherries, with a hint of violets.

Taste: Dry, clean, very pleasant flavour.

Finish: An attractive lingering, slightly bitter aftertaste of green almonds.

Food pairings: Recommended with beef, pasta, or lamb chops.

About the producer: Folonari was founded in 1825 in the Veneto region of northeast Italy by Francesco Folonari. From the very beginning, the founders wanted to create exceptional wines for everyday occasions. Nearly two centuries later, Folonari is enjoyed around the world.
