Ruby colored Barton & Guestier Château Magnol Haut-Médoc dry red wine has a rich and silky taste with accents of oak, fruit and spices. Its aftertaste is pleasantly spicy with barely perceptible shades of oak. This wine gradually reveals with the notes of black and red currants. The plantation proportions stand to 46% Cabernet Sauvignon, 39% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot. This spirit is recommended to combine with the delicious dishes of fish or meat.
About The Producer: Château Magnol's winegrowing history goes back to 1842 when Monsieur Delisse, an experienced agronomist, consolidated the vineyards surrounding the former Château du Dehez. The estate was purchased under the name ""Château Magnol"" in 1978 by Barton & Guestier, who undertook major investments in the vineyards and cellars. The efforts were crowned with successs when Château Magnol was classified Cru Bourgeois. The average age of the vines is 22 years.
