Cakebread Cellars Chardonnay (750ml)

Perfumed aromas of fresh melon, yellow apple, lime and white peach, with complementary mineral and toasty-spicy oak scents. On the full-bodied, yet sleek palate, the wine offers concentrated, beautifully focused, peach, apple and citrus zest flavors, with mineral and spice tones enlivening the long, refreshing finish.
The Cakebread Cellars Chardonnay originates from grapes grown in the relatively cool-climate vineyards of the southern Napa Valley, giving an intense minerality to balance the wine's oaky richness and spice. The wine was fermented in a combination of French Oak (88%) and stainless steel (12%) followed by 8 months barrel age in French oak (35% of which was new). A proportion of grapes from the northern Napa adds creamy, tropical fruit flavours for a balanced, extremely drinkable wine.
