The Gevrey-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes comes from vines up to 85 years old. It has a sensual bouquet of brambly red fruit, undergrowth, and light truffle.

Appearance: Rich red.

Nose: A refined aromatic constellation of red plums, red and black cherries, mustard seed, pretty spice tones from the whole clusters, a fine base of soil, a touch of oak, and a top note of bonfire.

Taste: The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins, moderate acidity, and decent length.

Food pairings: Ideal match with goose and duck dishes.

About the producer: With archives showing that the Rossignol family has run vineyards in Burgundy`s famous Cote de Nuits since the 16th century, the current generation, brothers Nicolas and David Rossignol, have plenty of experience to draw on when creating their excellent Pinot Noir wines. Working 14 hectares of certified organic and biodynamic vineyards in the Gevrey-Chambertin commune, the combination of old methods and modern vinification techniques makes for wines of great appeal, with savoury characteristics and superb purity of fruit.
