Hugel & Fils Tradition Pinot Gris (750ml)

Hugel Tradition Pinot Gris is a bright rich straw gold colour, with a lovely complex velvety, bouquet of ripe stone fruit (apricot, yellow peach, a touch of pine honey), smoky, hazelnut butter, and the hint of liquorice that typifies a high-class Pinot Gris. On the palate, this is classic textbook Pinot Gris – well structured, dry, supple and fleshy, with a clean freshness on the finish.

Founded in 1639 and still based in its oringinal house in Riquewihr, the family have continued to grow into one of the most successful and dynamic of all wine estates in Alsace - being highly export oriented, they produce the majority of their top end wiens from their own vineyards with a successful negociant business flourishing and based on contract fruit and wines.
