Mähler-Besse Cheval Noir Bordeaux AOC Blanc (750ml)

A blend of wines from various partner winegrowers, Cheval Noir Bordeaux Blanc reflects the skill of their oenologists. A major effort has been undertaken in Bordeaux to identify those terroirs most propitious to ripening Sauvignon Blanc, the main variety in Cheval Noir Bordeaux Blanc. The other variety, Sémillon, adds roundness to the wine.

The grapes are picked early to retain their fresh fruitiness. The wine is specially made to express Sauvignon Blanc’s rich aromas. Skin contact and cold fermentation maximize the extraction of aromas and aroma precursors. Ageing on the lees with regular stirring gives balance, finesse, structure, and length while concentrating aromas.
