Ca' di Ponti Nero d'Avola (750ml)

Ca’ di Ponti Nero d’Avola from Sicily is a deeply colored, full-flavored, spicy red wine with aromas of ripe plum and black cherry. The palate combines warm, juicy red fruit flavors with savory, lightly smoky characters and a hint of bitter chocolate on the long finish. The grapes for this wine are sourced from southern Sicily, around Riesi which is Nero d’Avola’s traditional heartland. It is all fermented at cool temperatures in stainless steel tanks and bottled whilst young without any oak aging thus retaining the lovely fresh fruit notes evident in this wine.
About the Producer: The Ca ’di Ponti Nero d’Avola from Sicily is made by Adria Vini which is a wine making venture jointly owned by Boutinot and Araldica Castelvero that was established in 2003. It is the leading co-operative in the Monferrato hills of Piemonte and aims to produce authentic, well-priced still and sparkling wines from local grape varieties.
