Catena Alamos Viognier (750ml)

Alamos Viognier has a golden yellow colour with greenish hues. On the nose, it displays white stone fruit and citrus interwoven with ripe pear, peach and fresh flowers. The mouthfeel is soft with crisp, balanced acidity.

About the producer: Located in Mendoza, in the heart of the Cuyo region, this company launched this new range of wines, most of them single-variety wines, where winemaker Lucía Vaieretti once again demonstrates the company’s expertise. Catena Zapata indeed works all the varieties very well, but they excel with Chardonnay! This is mainly because, especially with this variety, the company has always looked towards French and Californian producers, trying to imitate the quality of their productions. Now, with Alamos Chardonnay, the winery aims to offer a much more affordable white wine (which does not mean it is lower quality) that will lead the way towards their top range of wines.
