Bouchard Père & Fils Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru (750ml)

A rich, powerful wine with a strong personality. Very good ageing potential.

Vinification: The pressing takes place in two phases: evacuation of the first juice, then pressing in two-hour cycles.

Appearance: Pale to mid lemon colour.

Nose: Intense fruit and toasted aromas blended with the mineral notes typical of this appellation on the nose. 

Taste: Medium to full-bodied, deep and nicely concentrated, it’s muscular and structured, with racy acids and fine reserves of dry extract.

Food pairings: Fish and shellfish in sauce, foie gras.

About the producer: Bouchard Père et Fils is a sizable and historic Burgundy wine estate, based in Beaune. The largest vineyard owner in the Côte d'Or, it produces more than 100 wines mostly made from Pinot Noir or Chardonnay, in a range that also includes appellations in the Maconnais, Côte Chalonnaise and Beaujolais régions.
