Antoine Moueix Château Grand Renom Bordeaux (750ml)

Nose: Deep purple in colour, with a fresh nose of crisp black fruit.
Palate: A gourmet palate which confirms the fruity impression, enhanced by notes of vanilla, cinnamon and cloves. Balanced on the palate, the attack is full bodied and pleasant.
Finish: It offers an excellent and balanced touch of acidity, citrus fruit (lemon, grapefruit) and pineapple. Tannins are silky and delicate with fine aromatic freshness.
Vineyard: The 38-hectare vineyard is perched on the Dordogne hilltops, at 80 metres above sea level. Grand Renom’s subsoil carries a vein of fossil-rich limestone running through the middle of the soft Agen sandstone. These two geological formations, made from calcareous shells from around 30 million years ago, today form soft rock from which roots can draw nutritious trace elements.

About the Producer: Château Grand Renom and its cellar were built in 1861 on hills rich in clay and limestone. The Facca family, of Italian origin, settled on the estate and managed it for 3 generations. The land was divided between 4 different households, thus explaining the diversity of farming activities at the time: vineyards, cereals and cattle breeding.
